Punjabi nationalism refers to a nationalist stance applied to Indian Punjab (East Punjab) as well as Pakistani Punjab (West Punjab) and the diverse ethnic Punjabi people who inhabit the ethno-linguistic region of Punjab. Baba Sheikh Farid is considered as the ''Father'' of Punjabi nationalism.
